SuperGrok Plus and Grok Bot: Linking the xAI Plan Explained
The SuperGrok charge on last month's card already contains the word Grok, so the Bot install looks like a setting you forgot to enable.
It is not a setting. It is a link. On 25 August 2026 SuperGrok Plus was the only xAI SKU that included Grok Bot, checked against x.ai/pricing and the Grok Bot FAQ. Today Cursor's plans page lets an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ subscription be linked from the Grok Bot plan screen to grant usage. The word Grok on the statement is not the access check. The link is.
This page owns a single SKU: SuperGrok Plus, the grok bot super grok plus query. Cross-door ranking lives on the cheapest way into Grok Bot. The sixty-dollar Cursor cart lives on Cursor Pro+ and Grok Bot. Stay here if you already live on grok.com, you do not want an editor seat, and you need to know when Plus is the honest door instead of a Cursor plan. Confirm the live invoice before you install.
Treat SuperGrok Plus as one xAI SKU, not as every product that says Grok
SuperGrok Plus is an xAI plan. Grok Bot reads that plan as a yes or no. The FAQ names Plus as linkable, alongside base SuperGrok and SuperGrok Heavy, while every paid Cursor plan (Pro, Pro+, Ultra) and Cursor Teams include Grok Bot outright. The eligible set grew on 21 August 2026 (xAI announcement) and has grown since. Anything that still talks as if only Ultra opened the teammate is a fortnight out of date.
Plus is not a special Bot edition. It is the xAI key to the same teammate every other eligible plan already runs: named agents, one account computer, a screen per bot. What a Grok bot is is that object. You buy Plus when you already live in the Grok apps and you are not already holding a Cursor plan that qualifies.
Search will also hand you grok.com, the Grok app, and Grok Build. Those are not this SKU. Grok Bot versus Grok the chatbot is the chat split. Grok Bot versus Grok Build is the CLI split. Stay here when the question is whether the xAI line item in front of you actually opens the teammate.
If you already hold Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra, or Teams, skip this cart. This page is for the person whose xAI invoice says SuperGrok, or whose house is grok.com and who has never wanted Cursor.
Confirm the tier and the link before you treat grok.com as a Bot door
Hours on grok.com do not move the access check. Sign-in reads the plan and the link. If you never chose Link Grok Account on the access screen, the roster stays empty, even after a clean install.
SuperGrok and SuperGrok Plus share a family name, and both individual tiers can be linked. SuperGrok Lite does not include Grok Bot, and SuperGrok Team or SuperGrok Enterprise cannot link. Read x.ai/pricing the morning you pay, then match that spelling on the statement and on the Grok account screen. A tweet that said "Grok Bot is in SuperGrok now" is missing the word link. Do not treat it as a receipt.
Privacy Mode (Legacy) blocks Grok Bot entirely. A correct Plus line will not override that mode.
| xAI line on the statement | Grok Bot on that line | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| SuperGrok (individual) | Included once linked, with less weekly usage than Plus | Link it from the Grok Bot plan screen. The link is permanent |
| SuperGrok Plus | Included once linked. Documented xAI individual door | Confirm billing prints Plus, then link and install |
| SuperGrok Heavy | Eligible. Price unpublished on the pages this site treats as fact | Leave Heavy out of the cart until xAI prints a number |
| SuperGrok Lite, Team or Enterprise, or grok.com with no plan | Not included. Team and Enterprise cannot link | Read the chatbot split before you connect a mailbox |
| Cursor Pro at $20, Pro+ at $60, Ultra, or Teams | Included, on the other line | You already have a door. A link adds no usage on top |
Heavy belongs in that table as eligible, and only as eligible. Roundups still invent a monthly Heavy figure. This page will not print one.
Stay inside xAI billing when that house already holds your Grok spend
The xAI path wins when grok.com is already the house. You read there. You draft there. The card already clears an xAI charge every month. You do not want a Cursor editor seat, and you would not open the IDE if someone handed you a login.
In that house, a linked SuperGrok tier is the Bot door on the same family of invoices. You are not shopping a second vendor for sport. You are linking the line you already pay, and stepping to Plus only if you want more weekly usage.
If SuperGrok is already on the card, you do not have to step up to get in. Link it. Count the Plus delta only when base usage runs short, and allow up to 24 hours for Weekly usage to move after an upgrade, with no relink. Neither price is a usage budget. Both are only the door.
If grok.com is not already home, skip Plus as a Bot purchase. Cursor Pro at twenty opens the same teammate. Buy Plus when you wanted the xAI house anyway. Buying it only to run Chief of Staff Briefing costs more than the Cursor door for no extra bot.
Why Grok Bot needs a Cursor account still applies on this SKU. Sign-in runs through a Cursor identity even when SuperGrok Plus is the entitlement. That is plumbing, not a second product you have to purchase. SpaceX acquired xAI (announced 2 February 2026). SpaceX acquired Anysphere, the company behind Cursor (closed 14 August 2026). They are siblings under one parent. Do not rewrite that as xAI buying Cursor.
Skip a Cursor editor seat when you would only buy it to open Bot
Cursor Pro at twenty is the cheapest documented paid individual door. That fact lives on the shopping-guide page. It is not a command to open a Cursor house you will never enter.
If the only reason you would buy a Cursor plan is Grok Bot, and you already pay SuperGrok, linking it keeps one vendor, one statement, and the Grok apps you already use. A Cursor plan on top is not a saving if it adds an editor subscription you will ignore, while the SuperGrok line stays on the card because that is still where you chat, and the two never stack.
Two honest Cursor cases still beat Plus.
You already pay Cursor Pro at twenty. That plan already includes Grok Bot, and you already have the identity. Pro+ only adds weekly usage. Read Cursor Pro+ and Grok Bot and leave this page.
You pay Cursor nothing, you pay xAI nothing, and you only want Bot. Cursor Pro at twenty is the cheapest paid door to the same teammate. Buy the cheaper door. Come back to Plus later only if you wanted the xAI house for chat as well.
A self-serve Cursor Teams seat also includes it, for every member, and it is a team SKU. Do not open a dummy team to shave a SuperGrok Plus bill. If your company already pays those seats, you are done. Incremental subscription cost is zero.
List what the Plus link attaches to Grok Bot: usage, then the shared computer
On the Grok Bot side of the invoice, a linked SuperGrok Plus grants the usage to run. That is the include list.
Once the check passes, you are on the same product as Pro+ or Teams. The computer belongs to your user account, not to a bot (computer and apps). Each bot gets a screen. A screen is a desk, not a vault. Weekly allowance, then on-demand overflow from model and token cost. No published dollar figure. No Grok Bot-specific spend cap, only the account On-demand monthly limit.
Hosted MCP tokens stay with Cursor's backend. Browser cookies do not. Paying Plus does not move those cookies into a private box.
Clients exist for macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows (x64 and Arm64), and iPhone on iOS 18 or later. There are Linux desktop and Android apps as of September 2026, and the iOS app also runs on iPad (iPadOS 18 or later). The agent runs on a managed Linux VM in the cloud. That VM is not an installer for your ThinkPad. Supported platforms is the device grid.
Lead Scout on Plus is the same job as Lead Scout on Pro+. Standup Scribe is too. The SKU stopped the block. It did not change the bot.
Refuse the extras people hunt after they link or step up to Plus
The upgrade happens because a coworker said Grok Bot is "in SuperGrok." Then settings gets searched for a Bot-only cap, a picker, and a machine that belongs to one bot. Those controls are not on Plus. They are not on any documented eligible plan. A second bot is another screen on the same computer. Docs are blunt: do not use separate Bots as a security boundary (approvals, security, and privacy).
Two more absences belong in the same drawer. Bot actions still have no audit view outside Enterprise, and a linked Plus is not Enterprise. Claude Code, SKILL.md, and CLAUDE.md compatibility belong to Grok Build. Do not step to Plus because you wanted Build's skill loader, or because grok.com felt forgetful. Chat did not grow a desk.
| Hunt in settings after the upgrade | What the Plus line actually bought |
|---|---|
| A Grok Bot spend ceiling you can set | Not a Bot-only one, on Plus or any plan. The account On-demand monthly limit applies. Weekly allowance with no published dollar figure, then on-demand |
| A dropdown to pick the serving model | Members and admins both get none |
| A VM that dies when you delete one bot | The computer is assigned to you. Screens survive as shared state |
| Bot switched on while you stay on base SuperGrok | Possible now. Link it from the Grok Bot plan screen. Plus only adds usage |
| A log of every Bot action | Enterprise only. Not on a linked SuperGrok account |
| SKILL.md or CLAUDE.md loading into the teammate | That loader is Grok Build |
| Longer memory inside grok.com | Chat did not grow a desk |
Overflow arithmetic, once the door is open, is how token burn works without a Bot-only cap.
Walk with Priya as she treats the SuperGrok name as Bot access without the link
Priya writes a Monday public-source packet for a procurement newsletter. She already pays SuperGrok because grok.com is where she thinks. She has never installed Cursor. She works on a MacBook. She reads drafts on an iPad, which runs the iOS app.
On Tuesday a thread says Grok Bot is in SuperGrok now, just install it. She downloads from x.ai/bot, signs in, and waits for a roster. The roster does not appear. She opens billing. The line says SuperGrok, which is fine. She never chose Link Grok Account. She searches grok bot super grok plus and lands on a roundup that also quotes an unpublished Heavy figure, so she closes that tab too.
The name story fails in one place. A SuperGrok plan does not reach Grok Bot on its own. The link does, and it is permanent once made.
| Move Priya considers | What she pays | What she gets for Grok Bot | When this move is honest |
|---|---|---|---|
| Link the SuperGrok she already pays | No new line | The same teammate, with less weekly usage than Plus | She has a repeating agent packet and accepts that the link is permanent |
| Step to SuperGrok Plus | The Plus list price on x.ai, less the SuperGrok seat she already pays | More weekly usage on the same teammate every eligible plan runs. No Bot-only cap, no picker, no private VM | She already lives on grok.com, she does not want Cursor, and base SuperGrok usage ran short |
| Buy Cursor Pro instead, keep or cancel SuperGrok | $20 new Cursor house, plus whatever she still pays xAI | The same bot, plus an editor she has never opened. The plans do not stack | She wanted Cursor anyway. She did not |
| Spend the trial, then decide | Nothing new, one-time meter | A look at the computer, not a standing door | She has not seen a packet yet, and she can name one reversible job |
She can fix the missing roster from the iPad: the iOS app runs there, and its access screen offers Link Grok Account. The app can pause and resume. Editing and testing a routine still need the desktop app; the phone can now show run history and delete a routine. Mail waits until she has read shared computer security and Grok Bot and Gmail. Inbox Triage is a later job. The Monday packet can run on public pages, with a cited brief and no login.
Write the first charter before the link or the Plus upgrade posts
Name the job on paper before the xAI line changes. Checkout is faster than drafting, and the computer bills as soon as it works. Priya writes the packet first.
She pastes this and does not expand it:
Name: Monday Source Packet
Job: One question, public sources, one page for the newsletter
You answer one question I name about a public filing, agency page, or
vendor changelog, using public pages only. Every material claim has a
URL. If a source will not open, write blocked and stop. Do not keep
browsing after the page is done.
Boundary: Never send email, never post, never publish to the list,
never purchase, never create accounts, never sign into sites, never
use cookies from other bots. Never tweet, never comment, never file.
Deliver: one page plus a source table. No appendix of extra links. No
routine. No second question unless I paste it.
If the trial cannot finish that page, Plus will not finish it by magic. Is Grok Bot worth it is the verdict after a packet exists. Do not pay this SKU for a job you cannot write down.
Leave the Monday clock off during the trial. A routine belongs to one bot: fifty max, twenty recent run records kept, gone if the bot is deleted, never team-level. Start the clock after you have watched a run finish.
Wait for grok.com billing to print your SuperGrok tier before you download
The binary is someone else's page: how to download Grok Bot. This SKU page owns the order. Get the entitlement on screen first. The installer does not care which tier you pay. The link does.
Desktop: x.ai/bot. Phone: the iOS App Store listing for Grok Bot, iPhone (iOS 18 or later) or iPad (iPadOS 18 or later), or Google Play on Android. Skip GitHub builds.
Priya's iPad runs the iOS app (iPadOS 18 or later). A Linux workstation is a client as of September 2026 (.deb, .rpm or AppImage). Do not try to prove a new link from a device the FAQ omits.
If the roster is still empty after you linked, stop. Lite does not include Grok Bot, Team and Enterprise tiers cannot link, and an upgrade made after linking can take up to 24 hours to show. Reinstalling will not promote the plan. Login failed is often this mismatch.
You will still be asked for a Cursor identity. That is expected on Plus. Create the account if you do not have one. You do not have to open the editor. The account is the identity layer. The SuperGrok Plus line is the entitlement.
Choose Plus over Cursor Pro+ only when the editor seat would be waste
This is the decision the other two pages refuse to own, because they are shopping all doors or shopping sixty dollars. Here it is in one grid.
| Situation you are actually in | Buy | Why that cart is honest |
|---|---|---|
| You already live on grok.com / xAI billing, and you do not want a Cursor editor seat | Link the SuperGrok tier you pay, or step to Plus | Same house. Base SuperGrok links too. Plus only adds weekly usage |
| You already pay Cursor Pro at $20 | Nothing extra | Pro already includes Grok Bot. Pro+ at $60 only adds weekly usage |
| You pay neither, and you only want Bot | Cursor Pro at $20 | Cheapest documented paid individual door. Not this SKU |
| You pay neither, and you want the Grok apps plus Bot | An individual SuperGrok tier, linked | You are buying a house, not only a door |
| Your company already pays Cursor Teams | Nothing extra | The door is open. A SuperGrok link adds no usage on top |
| You already hold both a Cursor subscription and a SuperGrok subscription | Do not add a third line | Grok Bot uses whichever has more usage |
Plus is never a better bot than Pro+. Ultra and Heavy do not change that. Shop the house. Then shop the door inside that house.
If Cursor and SuperGrok already sit on the same person, skip the next cart. The runtime picks the larger usage pool. Adding Plus on top of Pro+ "for safety" is a second bill for the same machine.
Let Grok Bot pick the larger usage pool if both subscriptions already exist
People who already pay SuperGrok and Cursor treat a second eligible plan as insurance. The FAQ is blunter. With both a Cursor and a SuperGrok subscription, Grok Bot uses whichever has more usage.
That sentence is why this page tells Priya not to add Pro+ after Plus, and why a Cursor-first reader should not add Plus after Pro+ unless they wanted the Grok apps anyway. Two entitlements, one computer, one weekly allowance shape, then on-demand overflow. The second invoice does not mint a second VM.
If you are on Plus and a coworker gifts you a Cursor Teams seat, you did not get a second sandbox. You got another key to the same door. Named bots still share cookies, sessions, files, and CLI credentials. Deleting a bot still does not remove those.
How to spend the meter is the Grok Bot free trial. Come back here when the question is whether the xAI line in front of you is Plus.
Run a fail-able check on the live xAI invoice before you connect mail
Each row below can fail. If it fails, you are not on SuperGrok Plus, or Plus is not doing the job you assigned it. Stop spending as if the door were open.
| What you inspect today | Keep going | Stop |
|---|---|---|
| Statement and Grok account both print SuperGrok Plus, and the Grok Bot plan screen shows the link | Entitlement matches this SKU | The link or upgrade has not posted. Reinstalling will not promote you |
| FAQ still names SuperGrok Plus as eligible (docs) | The door still exists | This article is stale. Shop the vendor page |
| x.ai/pricing still lists Plus | You know the live price | Do not quote a price from memory |
| Privacy Mode (Legacy) is off | The entitlement can be used | The SKU is right and the bot is still blocked |
| One named bot finishes a public-source page with no login | The computer works | Do not debug a mushy brief by connecting mail |
| A week of use still shows no Bot-only ceiling | You are looking at the real product | If a number appeared, confirm which meter it belongs to. Do not invent a dollar figure |
When this page and the FAQ disagree, trust the FAQ. When your account screen and the FAQ disagree, trust the screen. Dates here are 25 to 27 August 2026, with access rules rechecked on 23 September 2026. Re-read the vendor price the morning you pay.
Grant the name-is-enough objection only for chat, never for the computer
The strongest case against this page is simple: the statement already says Grok. SuperGrok is the Grok plan. Calling Plus a different SKU is pedantry. Install the bot, keep thinking in grok.com terms, and stop reading invoices like contracts.
Grant the name. SuperGrok is a Grok product. grok.com will keep answering. If the job is conversation, base SuperGrok is enough, and this page should lose. Stay on grok.com. Do not link a cloud computer because a thread used the family name.
The objection loses the moment the job has to exist next Monday with the same stop line, on a machine that stays up after the laptop lid closes. That job is Grok Bot. A SuperGrok tier reaches it only once linked from the Grok Bot plan screen. The access check reads the link, not the four letters on the card descriptor.
A second form of the objection says Cursor Pro at twenty is always cheaper, so Plus is never the right path. Grant that too, for the person who does not already live on xAI. The cheapest way into Grok Bot exists so this page does not have to pretend Plus beats twenty as a door price. Plus wins when the editor seat would be waste, or when the xAI house is already the one you are paying to keep. It loses when you were going to buy Cursor anyway.
If the repeating job already lives in Claude or ChatGPT, confirm those vendors on their current pages: Claude Cowork, ChatGPT Work. Worth is a packet question, answered on is Grok Bot worth it after the door is understood.
Write the stop verb yourself because the Plus SKU never ships one
Once billing prints SuperGrok Plus, shopping is over. Operations start.
Plus will not print a stop verb. You write the action the bot must never take, in the charter, before any login that can outlive a deleted bot. For Priya that action is send, publish, tweet, and sign in. The Monday packet does not need those verbs. Mail Cleanup Assistant does, which is why it waits.
After a login that can act, read approval rules and reversibility and the safety checklist. Cadence is Grok Bot cost. Isolation is shared computer security. One job, one grant: least privilege bots. Plus will not enforce that. An approval gates the next action. It does not rewind work already done. Keep your own ledger. Outside Enterprise there is still no audit view.
The Plus line stays honest when the irreversible verb stays human. SuperGrok Plus will not sell you that line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does base SuperGrok include Grok Bot?
Yes, once you link it. On the 25 August 2026 check only SuperGrok Plus opened the door. Cursor's plans page now lets an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ subscription be linked from the Grok Bot plan screen to grant usage, with base SuperGrok below Plus on weekly usage. The link is permanent and never stacks with a Cursor plan. SuperGrok Lite does not include Grok Bot, and SuperGrok Team or Enterprise cannot link. Cursor Pro at twenty now includes it too. Chat still works either way. Confirm the plan screen shows the link before you treat the word Grok as eligibility.
When should I buy SuperGrok Plus instead of Cursor Pro+ for Grok Bot?
Buy SuperGrok Plus when you already live in grok.com and xAI billing, you do not want a Cursor editor seat, and base SuperGrok's weekly usage is not enough. Plus and Pro+ at sixty open the same Grok Bot product. Any extra is the cost of staying in the house you already pay, not a better bot. If you already pay Cursor, shop the Cursor door instead. If you pay neither and only want Bot, Cursor Pro at twenty is cheaper. Confirm both live prices the morning you pay, because this answer is dated with the rest of the page.
If I already pay SuperGrok Plus, do I also need Cursor Pro+?
No. A linked SuperGrok Plus already grants Grok Bot usage. Buying Cursor Pro+ on top does not mint a second computer or a second bot product. If both a Cursor subscription and a SuperGrok subscription exist, Grok Bot uses whichever has more usage. You hold two entitlements and the runtime picks the larger pool. That is a reason not to add the second line just in case. You still sign in through a Cursor identity even when Plus is the door. The identity layer is not a second SKU you have to purchase.
Does SuperGrok Plus attach a spend cap, a model picker, or a private machine?
Paying for SuperGrok Plus does not attach a Grok Bot-specific spend cap, a model picker, or a private machine among your own bots. Subscriptions include a weekly usage allowance with no published dollar figure, then on-demand overflow billed from model and token cost, up to the account On-demand monthly limit. Every bot on the account shares cookies, sessions, files, and CLI credentials. Screens are work surfaces. Two named bots are not two computers. Two eligible accounts are two computers, and two invoices. Heavy is eligible too, and this page will not invent its price.
